Cannabutter Slowcooker or Double Boiler Recipe

  1. First place the carrier oil and decarboxylated cannabis in a slow cooker or a double boiler. Cook on low heat for 4-6 hours, stirring occasionally.
  2. The following step for both of these methods is straining out the plant matter from the fat.
  3. Strain the mixture through a cheesecloth or a fine mesh strainer into a bowl or container. Squeeze or press the plant material to extract as much infused butter as possible.
  4. Allow the butter to cool. Once cooled, it will solidify, and you can remove any remaining water.
  5. With storage, store your infused butter in an airtight container in the refrigerator. Use it as you would regular butter in your favorite recipes.

Remember to start with a small amount when using your infused butter, you can also add more later.
