We’re excited to announce that Ivy Hall’s newest dispensary in Logan Square (3115 W. Armitage Ave.) officially opened for recreational sales at 9 am CT on Friday, January 19th, 2024. But the real celebration begins on Tuesday, January 23rd, when we’ll be hosting an 8:30am Ribbon Cutting ceremony with Alderperson Fuentes, the Logan Square Chamber of Commerce, and Ivy Hall’s leadership team.
The First Dispensary Under Illinois Social Equity Program
Ivy Hall is proud to be the first dispensary operating under the Illinois Social Equity program. This initiative is designed to address the impact of economic discrimination on cannabis-related businesses by providing greater access and opportunities to those who have been disproportionately affected.
Our Logan Square location was formerly the first black-owned dispensary in the area. This legacy of diversity and inclusion aligns perfectly with Ivy Hall’s commitment to social equity and community empowerment.
Expanding The Ivy Hall Sensory Dispensary Reach
This new location marks our eighth dispensary and extends our reach into the Logan Square and Humboldt Park areas. We believe in the importance of accessible cannabis, and are particularly enthusiastic about serving Humboldt Park, an area that currently has no dispensaries.

Ivy Hall Logan Square: A Community-Centered Cannabis Experience
For Omar Delgado, the director of retail for Ivy Hall, the opening of the Logan Square location is a homecoming of sorts. Having grown up just a few blocks east of the new dispensary, Delgado has fond memories of visiting the local laundromat with his mother. Today, he resides in Belmont Heights but maintains strong ties to the community where he spent his childhood.
A testament to how far the cannabis industry has come, the Logan Square dispensary represents a full-circle moment for Delgado. As he puts it, “I just take a lot more pride in it, and I feel like the people that work for me, we just really need to make sure that the staff is very representative of the area”.
A Unique Shopping Experience
Modeled after our Bucktown location, the Logan Square dispensary offers an extensive assortment of smokeable flower, tinctures, topicals, and other THC and CBD products. Customers can browse our offerings at full-service kiosks and pick up their orders in-store. Additionally, our customers can also place orders through our secure app and collect them at your convenience.
All Ivy Hall stores are recreational only, but we recognize the needs of medical marijuana card holders by offering a 25 percent discount on Mondays.
Commitment to Social Equity
In line with our commitment to social equity, the Logan Square dispensary will create job opportunities for the community. We are currently hiring, with a goal of staffing the store with 30 employees. We’re particularly keen on recruiting locals, emphasizing our dedication to investing in the communities we serve.
As part of our safety measures, the Logan Square dispensary will have on-site security and 24-hour surveillance, in compliance with state law.
Despite the challenges faced by the predominantly white cannabis industry in Illinois, Ivy Hall is working to foster diversity. The Logan Square dispensary operates under a license held by World of Weed, a company approved by the state last year. This company boasts social equity licenses and is 51 percent Black- and veteran-owned.
Ivy Hall co-founder David Berger explains, “Ivy Hall is a collective of social equity licenses that banded together to create a unique experience through a meaningful footprint, while increasing buying power with scale and sharing operational functions among the locations”.
